Do I need car insurance if my company rents cars for me throughout the year?
I currently do not have auto insurance. However, my new company pays for rental cars periodically for me to do my job, and it takes out the rental car company's insurance policies. Do I still need my own car insurance?

“If your employer buys enough coverage to protect you and the vehicles you operate, you shouldn’t need to buy your own
auto insurance
policy. Ideally, your employer should buy the following:- Collision damage waiver to cover the costs associated with damage to a car
- Rental car liability coverage to cover damages caused to other people or objects
- Personal accident insurance to cover the medical costs of an accident for you and your passengers
- Personal effects coverage to protect you should personal belongings be stolen from the rental vehicle
Confirm with your employer whether they buy these coverage types for you.”
