I read that the batteries in the Chevy Bolt were recalled. Do I need to get a replacement battery for my Chevy Bolt?

While the recall on the

battery modules is set to replace defective lithium-ion batteries, new battery replacement parts are not yet ready.

Until the remedy can be completed, Chevrolet has requested customer take the following steps:

For 2017 and 2018 models, set your vehicle to a 90 percent state of charge limitation using Hilltop Reserve mode or Target Charge Level mode for the 2019-2022 model years.

Charge your vehicle more often

When possible, avoid depleting their battery below 70 miles of remaining charge

Park your vehicle outside immediately after charging

Do not leave your vehicle charging indoors overnight
