Do I have to sign an exclusion waiver for car insurance if I have roommates?
I have several roommates. Every car insurance company I've talked to wants me to sign a waiver saying that my roommates won't drive my car. If I don't sign it, I'll get rejected. Does this sound right?

“Many car insurance companies make you sign one of these waivers to absolve themselves of liability if one of your roommates borrows your car and get into an accident. It’s a pretty standard form.
If your roommates want or need to drive your car, you can add them to your
car insurance
policy. Let them know loud and clear that they’ll also have to pay for it. That’s the only fair way to sort out this situation.”View full answer
