Do I have to give my car back to the dealer if they say it isn't eligible for a particular incentive?
"Do I have to give the car back if I've already signed the paperwork? I purchased a car from the dealer and received 0% financing due to my credit score.
Now the dealer is calling me and asking me to bring the car back and work out a deal because my car wasn't eligible for the 0% promotion."

“If you’ve already signed the paperwork for your
new car
, there’s little that the dealer can do to rectify the situation. However, they may be able to cancel the purchase order within 10 days of issuing it, effectively canceling the purchase and the loan as a result.
If you’ve had the car for longer than 10 days, you probably don’t have to do anything.
The dealer might be trying to bait and switch you, or they could have made a clerical error they don’t want to admit. Regardless of the reasoning, you should go in and see what they want.
Don’t sign anything and just listen to the explanation. It could be a simple fix.”
