You (and your teens) will be happy to know that yes, Ford Explorers do have available captain’s seats in all but one trim level.
Here’s a quick rundown:
- Base trim: captain’s seats NOT available
- XLT trim: second-row captain’s seats standard with second-row USB ports
- ST-line: second-row captain’s seats and USB ports standard
- Limited: heated, reclining second-row captain’s seats with USB ports and sunshades
- Timberline: heated second-row captain’s seats with USB ports
- ST: heated, reclining leather second-row captain’s seats with suede inserts, USB ports, and sunshades
- King Ranch: heated, reclining, massaging leather second-row captain’s seats with suede inserts, USB ports, and sunshades
- Platinum: heated, reclining, diamond-patterned leather second-row captain’s seats with suede inserts, USB ports, and sunshades
