Do electric cars have odometers?

One of my biggest grievances with gas-powered cars is how once you get above a certain mileage threshold, it smells like they break down all the time. Since electric cars operate on a different mechanical system than gas-powered cars, does mileage even matter? Do electric cars still have odometers?

It’s true that just because they might look the same from the outside, the way that
electric cars
operate is completely different from gas-powered engines. With combustion engines, tracking mileage on the
odometer
compared to the car’s current performance is one of the key ways to estimate the lifespan of your car. With an electric car, however, things are a little different.
While gas-powered engines are much more subject to the mechanical entropy that comes with having lots of moving parts such as cylinders, belts, and hoses, mileage on an electric car can also be a key indicator of just how much time you have left before you need to replace the battery.
Consumers should expect the lifespan of a new electric car to last about 200,000 miles before the battery needs to be replaced.
