Do driving lessons count for more driving hours?

I’m taking a driving class right now and we spend a lot of time just driving around and practicing. Am I allowed to count these hours towards my 50 required hours of practice?

Yes, you can count your driving lessons as practice hours for your license. However, it’s a good idea to practice for 50 hours outside of your driving lessons as well. That way, you can
learn to drive
without an instructor guiding you the entire time.
To get your driving hours up quickly, you can try:
  • Offering to drive whenever your parent(s) or guardian(s) leave to run errands.
  • Setting aside time each day specifically to practice driving.
  • Taking short weekend trips in the car to places close to your hometown.
When you get your license, you’ll need to start learning about car insurance too. The
