Do driving instructors make good money?

I’m thinking about becoming a driving instructor. I really enjoy teaching people new things, and I consider myself a pretty good driver. The only thing is, I’m not sure if it pays all that much. Do driving instructors make good money?

Driving instruction is a wonderfully noble and fulfilling career! If you think you’d be good at it, don’t worry about the money. That being said, the average salary for a driving instructor in the United States is roughly $52,000 per year, which could afford you a comfortable lifestyle, depending on your circumstances.
Of course, there are a number of factors that will impact how lucrative a driving instructor career is, including:
  • Your lifestyle
  • Your location
  • How many hours you work per week
  • Your education
  • The number of years you’ve been in the profession
  • Your certification
  • Any other additional skills or
    courses
If you’re thinking about taking courses and starting on the road to driving instructor certification, you might need to save some money. If you’re overspending on car insurance, reassess your policy with
