Do driving instructors have pedals?
I’m getting ready to start driving behind the wheel with an instructor, but I don’t feel all that confident about it. I’ve heard that driving instructors have pedals on their side in case you make a mistake. Do driver training cars have pedals on the passenger side?

Official driver training cars are required by law in most states to have an auxiliary brake pedal on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. While your instructor will have a brake pedal in case you make a mistake or careen out of control (heaven forbid), they usually don’t have an accelerator pedal on their side.
But don’t let the extra brake pedal give you a false sense of security. You still need to remember what you’ve learned about driving behind the wheel and listen to what your instructor is telling you in real-time.
