Do companies allow you to add gap insurance after you've purchased your vehicle?
I thought I read somewhere that only a few states offer gap insurance. Is this true? Am I still able to add gap insurance after I've already purchased my vehicle?

are all carriers that offer some form of gap insurance. You may also see it listed as loan/lease coverage. There are some states that regulate gap insurance through their Department of Insurance and Financial Services, but it shouldn’t impact your ability to get it.
As you shop around for coverage, remember that each carrier has different terms and conditions. Be sure to read over the coverage to be sure it meets your needs.
