Do car warranties cover electrical issues?
I’m thinking about buying an electric car, but I was thinking that because it's fully electric, it would be more prone to having possible electrical issues than a gas-powered car. Do car warranties cover electrical issues?

Much like any other car, the
warranty
coverage for an electric car
is broken down into two components: the comprehensive coverage and the powertrain coverage. Your basic comprehensive warranty would cover any electrical issues that your car might have, and applies to the parts and labor costs for covered repairs. The powertrain coverage will typically cover a few more years than the basic comprehensive and applies to mechanical components like the electric motor itself.
Federal regulations even mandate that an electrical vehicle’s battery pack be covered for at least eight years or 100,000 miles under warranty.
Generally the only time electrical issues wouldn’t be covered under warranty would be if they were the result of regular wear-and-tear, improper maintenance, or misuse.
