Did the Ohio driving age bill pass?
I’m turning 16 in a few weeks, and I was all set to get my license, but my parents said I have to wait until I’m 16 and 6 months because of a bill that passed in Ohio a while ago. Is that true?

driving age bill has not yet passed a full House vote. If it does pass, Ohio teens will have to wait one year after getting their learner’s permits to apply for a probationary license. In other words, you will have to be 16.5 years old instead of just 16 to get a probationary license.Currently, Ohio teens can get their learner’s permits at 15.5 and their probationary licenses at 16.
Young drivers are obviously upset by this potential new law, but with 15% of crashes being caused by a group that only constitutes 5% of drivers on the road, many believe that more instruction is needed before letting drivers under 17 loose.
