This is a great question! Yes, Elon Musk and the developments by Tesla Motors have definitely made waves that will change the electric car movement forever.
Despite the recent environmental craze, the concept of
electric cars
is not new. The first electric car was invented in the late 19th century and although it was no Tesla, it was like its great grandfather. Elon Musk—one of the founders and the current CEO of Tesla Motors—is one of the biggest names in technology right now. While electric cars have been around for a long before Musk was born, Elon Musk and his team at Tesla are revolutionizing the way we think about electric vehicles.
Early electric vehicles were more for the lack of environmental impact and not so much for the aesthetics of the vehicle itself. Teslas are luxury vehicles that don’t harm the environment to drive: the company promises that you can have your cake and eat it too.
The vehicles also have automation and self-driving features, which is something the world has looked forward to since the bat-mobile in comic books.
Elon Musk has helped to shape the future of the auto industry including the infrastructure in cities. Supercharger stations are in high number worldwide. Like the Apple of the electric car world, Tesla Motors products work well together but are fairly exclusive otherwise.
