Can you upgrade the battery on a Tesla Model S 60?
I have a 2016 Tesla Model S 60, and I’m noticing that my battery doesn’t give me as much range as it used to. Is there any way to have my Tesla Model S 60’s battery upgraded?

Tesla Model S 60
. You can get an even better battery than the 60-kWh power pack it was initially equipped with.In fact, Tesla officially discontinued the Model S 60 back in 2017, which means that you pretty much have to get a bigger battery.
There are 75-kWh, 90-kWh, and 100-kWh batteries available for upgrades, but according to Tesla, Model S editions that did not originally come with a 100 kWh aren’t structurally stable enough to have that battery installed. A 90-kWh battery will work just fine, though.
These upgrades don’t come cheap, however. A battery upgrade for a Tesla Model S 60 will run you between $15,000 and $20,000.
Tesla’s battery warranty lasts eight years or 150,000 miles, so you may be able to have your upgrade covered if you’re experiencing degradation. If not, you’ll be on the hook for the costs yourself.
