How frustrating! Here are some ways to avoid streaks when cleaning the inside of your
windshield
or side windows.- Park in the shade and away from direct sunlight. The heat may cause streaks to form. To mitigate this, clean your windows in the shade and be sure to wipe them thoroughly after cleaning.
- Buy a good microfiber towel. Look for a low pile towel to clean your car windows. They’re a lot more absorbent than a traditional microfiber cloth and can prevent streaking.
- Use a vinegar and water cleaning solution. Vinegar helps break down the film that can form on car windows. It is also a safe and non-toxic solution if it’s accidentally ingested or inhaled. Mix 50/50 hot water and vinegar and apply it to the windows using a soft cloth.
