Can you report someone for driving without a license?
An acquaintance that I know divulged to me the other day that he hasn’t had a driver’s license in years. While I don’t like to stick my nose in other people’s business, I believe this to be dangerous, especially since he drives everywhere. Can I anonymously report someone for driving without a license?

While you can report someone for driving without a license, the likelihood that anything will result from it is slim. Police won’t deem this information as a high priority, and even if they document it, they’re unlikely to act upon the tip.
If you still want to report someone for driving without a license:
- Go to your local police station.
- Tell them your concern and ask to speak to the appropriate officer.
- Make sure you have the person’s first and last name, as well as their license plate number handy.
- File a report if necessary.
In a best-case scenario, the officer will put the information into the system, and the driver could be pulled over or arrested during a routine traffic stop.
