Can you report dangerous driving to the police?

I was driving on the highway and there were two cars driving over 100 miles per hour while weaving in between other cars like they were reenacting Fast & Furious 5. Other drivers were beeping and frantically trying to avoid these racers—is there a way to report dangerous driving to the police?

I’m sorry to hear you were in the middle of that situation! You can most definitely report
dangerous driving
to the police if you witness it. Dangerous or reckless drivers are a hazard to everyone who shares the road with them.
Calling 911 is the fastest way to bring dangerous driving to the police’s attention. If the driving is taking place on the highway, a state trooper will be dispatched to assess the situation. You are under no obligation to provide your name or information when you call 911—you can report what you saw anonymously
You also have the option to file a police report regarding the dangerous driving you witnessed—but if you don’t have the license plate number of the vehicle in question, it may be difficult for law enforcement to track the driver down after the fact.
Doing your part to limit dangerous driving is a great way to stay safe on the road. Another way is by purchasing good
car insurance
at a reasonable price. To get access to the best prices on coverage, consult the #1 rated car insurance comparison app
