Can you put gas in an electric car?

When electric cars catch fire, they burn with more intensity and for much longer than gas cars. Automakers like Tesla are looking for a solution.

Lithium-ion batteries run the EV market nowadays, but what are our other options? Nuclear energy could be one. Though there are issues to work out, nuclear energy could certainly be a viable way to power cars, with very little fuel required to produce huge amounts of power.

It seems to be the general consensus that electric cars are the future. But some states are taking concrete steps to ban gas-powered cars in the near future.
