Can you get a DUI for driving high in Louisiana?

Marijuana recently became legal in Louisiana. Does this mean that I’m allowed to drive while high now or can I get a DUI for marijuana just like I can for alcohol?

Yes, you can still get a DUI if you’re caught driving high in
Louisiana
even though the substance is now legal in the state. Although you won’t get in trouble for using substances that you obtained legally, you can’t operate a motor vehicle until the drug is out of your system.
To prove that the drug is in your system, you may be asked to give a blood, urine, or breath sample for testing. You’re obligated to comply if you’re asked for a sample since you give your consent to this type of testing as a Louisiana driver.
