Can you flat tow a Saturn Vue?
I have a Saturn Vue that I want to pull behind my RV. I’ve heard conflicting reports about whether I can flat tow it. Is it safe?

Yep! You can flat tow a Saturn Vue regardless of whether it’s front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
You’ll want to make sure that your RV’s towing capacity will be enough to pull your Vue, which weighs about 4,076 pounds. You’ll also need to acquire the proper equipment, including a tow bar, a base plate, safety cables, auxiliary lights, and a supplemental braking system.
Here’s how to prepare your Vue for towing:
- Position the Vue behind your RV and secure it to the towing vehicle with your tow bar.
- Turn your Vue’s key to “ACC/ACCESSORY”.
- Set your shifter to Neutral (“N” on your gear selector).
- Turn fog lights and accessory lights off.
- Remove the 2 amp IGN SW fuse to prevent your battery from draining during the tow, and store it in a safe place.
Your Vue can be towed from the front for unlimited miles so long as you do not exceed 65 miles per hour. Dinghy towing at speeds higher than 65 miles per hour can cause damage to your vehicle that would not be covered by your warranty.
