Can you flat tow a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

There are several benefits to flat towing a car, but unfortunately, it’s not always an option. Whether or not you can flat tow a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee depends on if it’s equipped with a setting called 4Lo.
4Lo is a four-wheel drive setting that allows all of the wheels on your Jeep Grand Cherokee to remain powered. If you don’t have 4Lo and attempt to flat tow your Jeep Grand Cherokee, you’re at risk of damaging the vehicle or voiding your warranty.
Your Jeep Grand Cherokee should have 4Lo if your trim has one of the following systems:
- Quadra-Trac I
- Quadra-Trac II
- Quadra Drive II
Having 4Lo might mean you’re vehicle is capable of being flat towed, but that doesn’t necessarily mean your RV or another vehicle will be capable of handling it. Make sure that your vehicle is more than capable of handling the more than 4,500-pound payload.
