Can you flat tow a 2021 Ford Explorer?

I want to buy a 2021 Ford Explorer, as I found a great deal on one. However, I want to make sure that I can tow it behind my truck before I commit. Is it possible to flat tow a 2021 Ford Explorer?

No—you cannot flat tow a 2021 Ford Explorer. When Ford ushered in the sixth generation of the Explorer in 2020, the engineers changed the platform it’s built on. As a result, the last Explorer with flat-towing capabilities was produced in 2019.
That doesn’t mean that you can’t tow the 2021 Explorer at all. It just requires a bit more monetary investment. If you want to tow the Explorer, all four wheels must be off the ground, so you’ll need a flatbed trailer.
If you still decide to purchase this legendary SUV, offset the price of a flatbed trailer by cutting your
