Can you flat tow a 2021 Chevy Traverse?
I wasn’t really looking for a car, but this 2021 Traverse parked on the side of the road in my town looks like a heck of a deal. However, I want to make sure I can flat tow it before I waste anyone’s time. Is it possible to flat tow a 2021 Chevy Traverse?

Every trim, engine type, and drivetrain of the 2021 Chevy Traverse can be flat towed, so go ahead and schedule that test drive! The only thing you need to do to flat tow a Traverse is follow the instructions listed below and on page 311 of the owner’s manual.
To flat tow the 2021 Traverse, follow these instructions:
- Secure the Traverse to the towing vehicle.
- Put the car in neutral.
- Shut off the engine, which will put the Traverse in accessory mode.
- Disconnect the negative (-) terminal connector from the battery.
- Close the hood of the vehicle and you’re ready to go.
Keep in mind that you shouldn’t go above 65 mph while you’re towing the Traverse or you risk damaging the transmission.
