Can you flat tow a 2017 Buick Enclave?
My 2017 Buick Enclave recently broke down in my driveway, and I want to get it towed to the shop. I want to make sure the tow truck removes my car properly. Can my Enclave be flat towed?

Sorry to hear about your Buick! Fortunately, you can flat tow a 2017 Buick Enclave.
According to the owner’s manual, both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive automatic transmission models can be flat-towed from the front. However, the Enclave cannot be dolly towed.
Here are the general steps to start the flat-towing process:
- Gather your tools: You’ll need a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, a wiring/lighting kit, and a braking system for the towed car. You may need a high/low hitch adapter to keep the tow bar low, as well.
- Ensure all four tires are on the road evenly and turn the key to accessory mode. A battery maintainer or charging line will prevent your battery from dying.
- Attach the tow bar to the Enclave.
- Switch auxiliary braking switch to ON.
- Keep the key in the accessory position and the car in park.
