Can you flat tow a 2016 Honda Fit?

I just bought a brand new Winnebago, and I’m excited to go on an epic road trip. However, I want to tow my 2016 Honda Fit behind so that I don’t have to drive the RV everywhere I go. Is it possible to flat tow a 2016 Fit?

No — you can’t flat tow a 2016 Honda Fit under any circumstances. Doing so can damage the drivetrain and transmission and void any extended warranty you may have on the vehicle. The 2016 Honda Fit comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which can’t be flat towed.
The only surefire way to tow a 2016 Honda Fit without damaging it is by using a trailer or tow dolly. You can either rent one or pay between $1,000 and $3,000 for a new or used one, but it’s far cheaper than causing catastrophic damage to the car’s transmission.
