Can you flat tow a 2016 Ford Edge?

My buddy just got a new Ford Edge—I’ve had one for a few years now. We were talking about camping and RVs and whatnot, and he mentioned that he’d have to get a trailer for his Edge. I’ve always flat towed mine, though. Is it ok to flat tow a 2016 Ford Edge?

You and your buddy could start a Ford Edge fan club. And have no fear: you can flat tow a 2016 Ford Edge. No matter what trim or powertrain configuration you have, your 2016 Ford Edge is 100% flat-towable.
Every model year of the Ford Edge from 2017 and prior could be flat towed, regardless of the specific configuration. Many of the trim and powertrain configurations for model years 2018 and later cannot be flat towed.
