Can you flat tow a 2011 Ford F150 4x4?
I have an RV that I bought on the cheap to take my Ford F150 4x4 to off-road tracks and save on accommodation. However, I didn’t think about how I was going to tow it. Is it possible to flat tow a 2011 F150 4x4?

Sounds like a great plan! You can flat tow a 2011 Ford F150 4x4 as long as it comes equipped with a manual transfer case. To tell if your F150 has a manual transfer case, simply look for a 4-LO mode on your four-wheel-drive shift selector.
If you have a manual transfer case, follow these steps to successfully flat tow the truck without damaging it:
- Release the parking brake.
- Turn the key in the ignition to the off position.
- Place the transmission in Neutral.
- Place the transfer case lever in Neutral.
- Only tow the vehicle in the forward position to ensure no damage is done to the internal transfer case components.
