in your grandpa’s car, note that you usually won’t fail your driving test for stalling the car. However, the instructor’s judgment is the defining factor.If you’re stalling the car with alarming frequency, the instructor may deem you unsafe for driving, which can cause an automatic failure. If you stall the car just once or twice, you may get a few points deducted, but the instructor will rarely fail you.
If you were driving an automatic, you wouldn’t have to worry about stalling the car. While you can technically stall an automatic, it’s exceptionally rare. So if you feel more comfortable, you may want to consider using an automatic transmission to take the exam.
