Can you add a driving license to your Apple Wallet?

I’m notorious for misplacing my driver’s license and heard a rumor that you could add your ID to your Apple Wallet. Is that true?

How handy! Apple will soon launch the capability to add driving licenses to your Apple Wallet—but it’s only available in the following states so far:
  • Arizona
  • Connecticut
  • Georgia
  • Iowa
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Oklahoma
  • Utah
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will start accepting mobile driver’s licenses and IDs at participating airports as well. Apple is working with additional states to increase this option in the US.
Mobile driver’s licenses will make life easier, from going through airport security to going out with your friends—but it could be a while if you don’t live in one of the approved states. Want to make life easier right now? Use the
