Can Porsche rims be repaired?
I scratched the rims on my Porsche’s passenger side the other day and have been trying to see if I could get them fixed, but it doesn’t seem like anyone will do it. Can Porsche rims be repaired, or do I have to replace them entirely?

According to guidelines issued by the company in 2018,

rims are not allowed to be repaired—the only exception to this is minor touch-up work to the paint.In 2018, Porsche technicians told the repair industry that mechanics should not make repairs to Porsche rims unless the damage goes down to the metal. If only the surface layer of paint was scratched, touch-up work is allowed, but scratches in the metal are off-limits.
Porsche rims tend to be thinner than your average rim—a trait that aids in performance. Taking even a millimeter off the rim during repairs could weaken the wheel’s structural integrity.
