Can my roommate kick me out?

My roommate and I have been fighting a lot lately, and now she’s trying to kick me out. She keeps screaming at me and saying that she’ll call the cops if I don’t get out. Can my roommate legally kick me out?

No, except for in a few specific circumstances and locations, your roommate does not have the right to kick you out of your apartment.
Of course, laws regarding residency and tenancy vary greatly from state to state. In a couple of states, your roommate would be able to kick you out—but only if she is the actual owner of the house and you do not have any sort of formal or written lease or rental agreement. Even then, she would be required to give you written notice before kicking you out.
If she’s not the owner, then she does not have the authority to kick you out for any reason at any time. If you have an official lease with the landlord, she cannot nullify that.
You’re going to want to double-check the state and city laws in your area for the landlord and resident rights/obligations.
It does sound like finding a new place to live might not be a terrible idea, though. It certainly doesn’t sound like a harmonious living situation. If you decide to move for any reason, don’t forget to use
