Can I Use an Aftermarket Steering Wheel and Still Keep My Cruise Control?
I have wanted to get an aftermarket steering wheel for a while, but all the ones I see don’t seem to have cruise control compatibility. I obviously don’t want to get rid of my cruise control. Can I use an aftermarket steering wheel with cruise control?

Aftermarket cosmetic components such as a steering wheel can be a really fun way to personalize your vehicle! There are quite a few options out there that do have cruise control compatibility, but if you’ve found a specific wheel you like that does not, you can purchase a cruise control kit to install along with the wheel.
A cruise control kit is a prepackaged set of equipment that you can use to install cruise control buttons on a steering wheel that otherwise wouldn’t have them.
You’ll need to know a little bit about electrical wiring to install one, but a kit should allow you to use an aftermarket steering wheel with your cruise control feature.
Cruise control kits typically cost $60-200 depending on the quality, and you can find them at most auto parts stores or online.
When you’re done tinkering in the garage, come inside, put your feet up, and take a few minutes to relax—and save some money while you’re at it!
