Can I replace my Porsche OEM battery with an aftermarket one?

I need to replace my Porsche’s battery soon and was wondering whether it would be better to buy another genuine Porsche battery or if an aftermarket battery would suffice. Can I replace my Porsche OEM battery with an aftermarket one?

Yes, you can replace your Porsche’s OEM battery with an aftermarket battery if you’d like, as long as it has the same group size and the same or higher cold cranking amps (CCA) as your original battery.
If you do decide to replace your OEM Porsche battery with an aftermarket option, we’d recommend going with an Interstate, Duralast, or DieHard—all of these brands are well-liked in the Porsche community, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding one that suits your needs.
