COVID-19 changed the world and forced a lot of agencies onto a new, slower schedule—the DMV included. It would make sense for organizations to allow for routine services to be taken care of online and it would save a lot of time, too. Luckily for you, you can renew your driver’s license online in
Oregon
.
To renew your license online, you’ll need to go to the Oregon DMV’s
online portal
and:
  • Answer security questions
  • Answer medical questions
  • If your address has changed, upload proof of residence
  • Pay the $40 standard renewal or $70 Real ID fee
You’ll need a valid driver’s license to operate your vehicle on the roadways—but that’s not all you’ll need. Oregon also requires drivers to carry
minimum car insurance
