Unleaded plus, aka premium unleaded or super unleaded, has a higher octane rating and typically costs a bit more than regular unleaded gas. This rating is usually between 87 and 94. The benefits of unleaded plus may include better engine performance and a tiny reduction in fuel consumption.
Find out which type of fuel is best for your car by checking your owner’s manual. Alternatively, newer vehicles sometimes have the octane ratings printed on the gas cap.
