Can I purchase an insurance policy for ridesharing coverage only?

I don't want any other insurance coverage beyond ridesharing. Is it possible to get insurance for only that?

“Whether or not you can get standalone
rideshare insurance
depends on the carrier.
Most
car insurance companies
offer rideshare coverage as a policy add on. This means you’d be required to have an existing policy with them to add on coverage.
There are some carriers that do offer standalone policies, but they will likely be more expensive.
Since ridesharing is considered commercial or business use, standalone rideshare policies will be significantly more expensive than a personal auto policy with rideshare added on.
If you are looking to save money on your car insurance, you may be able to keep the state minimum car insurance on your vehicle with rideshare added on.
Carrying
liability car insurance
only will always be the cheapest option for insurance. However, there may be certain coverage requirements for ridesharing.”
