Can I protect my car from having someone slash the tires?
My husband, myself, and some of our neighbors have all had our tires slashed right in front of our homes over this past year. The police haven’t been able to catch anyone, and I was wondering if there was a way to protect our vehicles from having the tires slashed again?

There are a few ways you can protect your car from slashed tires:
- Park in a well-lit and secure area. A garage is best, but if your home does not have one, consider renting a space in a nearby parking garage or see if a neighbor will rent out a spot in their garage.
- Install motion sensor lights in front of your home where you park.
- Install security cameras to identify the person and deter criminal activity.
- Report it to the police and, if it is a recurring problem, they may patrol your neighborhood more.
- Start a neighborhood crime watch to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and increase the chances of catching the criminal.
