Some lenders will accept credit card payments without issue. Others charge hefty processing fees. And some won’t accept credit cards at all.
However, if your lender is unwilling to accept credit cards, there is a hack to get around it. If your Chase credit card has 0% interest and zero fees for a balance transfer, you may be able to transfer your car loan balance to the credit card. You would just need to make sure to pay off the balance of the loan before the 0% term ends.
If you just need to spend the $1,500, a cash advance might be the best option. If the Chase card charges no fees or low fees for a cash advance, you can get the $1,500 and use it to pay your car loan, effectively getting the credit card bonus while also paying your car loan.
