Can I insure a commercial vehicle for personal use?

I'm buying a Chevy Silverado 4500. My current insurance company won't allow me to add it to my personal policy since it's considered a commercial vehicle. I'm going using it for personal use. Is there a way to get a personal auto policy on it?

“Getting a personal
car insurance
policy that’s deemed a commercial vehicle isn’t easy, but you have options.
As your current insurance company won’t allow you to add it to your policy, you’ll need to shop around. Not every company writes the same types of policies or has the same rules and regulations. You may be able to find a company that will issue a personal policy for your truck.
You can request
car insurance quotes
from different companies to determine who would issue a policy.
If you aren’t able to find a company that will offer a personal policy, you should consider a commercial policy with your current company. You may be able to get a discount by having multiple policies with a single company.
