Can I go off-roading in a lifted Honda Element?

I am considering purchasing a lift kit for my Honda Element so that it will have better ground clearance, as I would like to be able to use it for off-roading, but I don’t know if the vehicle is actually engineered to handle that. Can I go off-roading in a lifted Honda Element?

Generally speaking, the body and overall design of the Honda Element aren’t particularly suited to serious off-roading or rock-crawling. However, a lifted Honda Element could be! Installing a lift kit and a set of all-terrain wheels will enable the vehicle to better traverse uneven terrain and mild off-road conditions.
If you’re looking to do a little bit of overlanding or off-road adventuring, a lifted Honda Element should be able to handle most of what you throw it’s way—definitely not in the same way that a truck or Jeep can, but enough to get you off the beaten path.
