Can I Get A Scissor Lift Mounted In My Truck Bed?

I run an arborist company and I constantly have to rent scissor lift trucks for larger jobs. I’m wondering if there is a smaller scissor lift that I can get installed in my regular pickup truck. It would save me a lot of money.

Yes—you can get a scissor lift mounted in your truck’s bed. Products like that do exist, but they’re not very common. Not many companies sell them, but you can request a quote for one from IndustrialManLifts.com.
Most companies will want to sell you a complete truck with the scissor lift built into it—it’s just easier and safer that way. There’s a lot of liability in installing a lift on someone’s personal vehicle.
Before you decide to have a lift installed, you should consider whether or not your truck is suited for the extra weight and train—the lifts usually weigh over 2,000 pounds.
Adding a scissor lift to your truck bed can seriously impact your auto insurance costs. However, since your truck is used for business, hopefully, you have a reliable commercial insurance policy in place.
