Can I garage a car in Connecticut when I live in Brooklyn and still find insurance?
I bought a classic car. But living in Brooklyn, it's not cost-effective to garage or park a car that I only drive on occasion. I want to leave it at a garage in Connecticut with my in-laws. Can I get insurance in this situation?

“The crux of the issue is where your car is registered. If it’s registered in Connecticut, you shouldn’t have any problems getting
car insurance
to garage it there.If your car is registered in New York and garaged in Connecticut, you might run into some problems. Most insurance companies will only insure you in the state that the car is registered.
Since you rarely drive the vehicle, you might be able to get away with it. The best idea is to call a few insurance companies and see what they say.”
