! Taking action to protect yourself against expensive repairs and replacements is a great move. You can extend your Honda warranty through the Honda Care program. However, you must do so before your new car warranty expires at 3 years or 36,000 miles.
Here are some more details about the Honda Care extended warranty:
- It lasts up to 8 years or 120,000 miles—you can choose a 3-year or 5-year extended warranty
- You must take your car to a Honda dealership or authorized service center for your repairs to be covered
- You must ONLY put OEM Honda parts in your Fit—using aftermarket parts will void your warranty
- The extended warranty also extends theroadside assistance,rental car reimbursement, and trip interruption coverage included in the 3-year warranty
Depending on your dealership and location, you can typically expect Honda’s extended warranty to cost between $1,500 and $2,500 up front.
