Congratulations on your decision to buy two electric cars! Most multi-EV homes will be able to get away with one charger.
The average person drives 26 miles a day. The average EV will hold a charge for 181 miles. That means you should be able to go roughly 5-6 days before needing a charge. This makes it easy to coordinate charging between two vehicles, since they won’t need to be charged every night.
However, if your commute is significantly longer or it’s otherwise important to you to charge both vehicles, you can have two home chargers installed. Be aware that this will split the current. Sometimes this means one vehicle charging fully while the other barely charges.
