I’m one of those people that prefer the early-aughts to just about everything—I like my tips frosted, my jeans in a boot-cut, and a trucker hat on my head. I also love my new (ok, very used) 2006 Acura. Can I add HandsFreeLink with Bluetooth on a 2006 Acura MDX?

We here at Jerry mean this totally and utterly sincerely—to each their own. That said, yes—you can easily add HandsFreeLink with Bluetooth to your 2006 Acura MDX.
The 2006 Acura MDX Touring trim came standard with Bluetooth capability, which allows for hands-free calls and wireless audio capability. Setting up HandsFreeLink with your 2006 MDX is easy, so just follow these steps:
- First, make sure your MDX is in Park.
- Now, press the Settings button and choose Phone Settings
- Choose Add Bluetooth Device
- Now, put your phone in Discovery Mode, and your MDX’s HandsFreeLink will look for your phone in order to pair
- When you see your phone on the MDX’s screen, select it to pair
- if you don’t see your phone on the screen, choose Device Not Found and then use your phone to search for HandsFreeLink
- HandsFreeLink will give you a code—check that your phone gives you the same code
- With your phone, connect with HandsFreeLink, or tap On on your touchscreen to allow the MDX to pair with your phone
- Once paired, HandsFreeLink will import your phone’s contact list and call history
