Can a Florida-based car dealer sue me because I got a loan for incentives and paid it off the next day?
"I went to a dealer to finance a vehicle to get $5,000 worth of incentives. My plan all along was to get this loan and see if my credit union could refinance the loan.
I was able to refinance, so I paid off the loan the next day. Now the dealership says they're going to sue me. Can they legally do this?"

“No, they can’t sue you. There’s no stipulation as to when you can refinance a car.
While your tactics may border on unethical depending on who you ask, you essentially played the system. The
dealership
might use scare tactics, but don’t succumb to them. However, you will likely need to find another dealer to work on your car. As recalls or any other maintenance that falls under your warranty should be completed at a dealership, it may be in your best interest to look elsewhere.”
