Are U-turns legal in Connecticut?

I’m driving through Connecticut but I want to stop over in Mystic and a few other places on the coast for a few days. I don’t want to risk getting a ticket while I’m there. Are U-turns legal or illegal in Connecticut?

Mystic and the other coastal towns in
Connecticut
are breathtaking—but nothing derails a great road trip like a ticket. Fortunately, U-turns are legal in Connecticut as long as you follow these simple rules:
  • Signal before you make your U-turn (Connecticut law requires 100 feet)
  • Only use the left-most lane to execute a U-turn
  • Yield to oncoming traffic
  • Don’t make a U-turn if there’s a sign prohibiting it
If you’re headed on a road trip through Connecticut, you may want to consider
towing and labor coverage
on your car insurance policy. It functions just as roadside assistance, but it’s attached to your car insurance policy. So do a bit of research to see which companies offer it, then shop around for the best rate with the
