Are Teslas Different Than Other Electric Cars?
It’s time for me to buy a new vehicle, and I really want a Tesla, but my husband says that you don’t really get anything different for the price tag. Are Tesla’s different than other electric cars?

Teslas is the biggest brand electric vehicles right now; as soon as most people hear electric car, they think of a Tesla. That being said, there isn’t much that fundamentally makes Tesla different than other electric cars.
Tesla’s popularity is thanks to their sleek design, state-of-the-art controls, and longe-range capabilities.
A few benefits Teslas have over other electric vehicles are:
- Longer Range Between Charges—on average, Tesla’s can go up to 370 miles before being real charged.
- Over-The-Air Updates—Tesla pushes updates to their vehicles, making them safer and better to drive, periodically. They were the first company to offer software updates on their vehicles, although other companies have started doing this as well.
- Auto-Pilot—While not a true hands-freeauto pilot, it does offer features that can take some of the stress out of driving.
- Superchargers—Tesla has more than 25,000 superchargers all over the world, with more being added all the time. This means being able to charge your car for a 200 mile drive in as little as 15 minutes.
- Customizable Key—Tesla offers you the option to use your phone as a key, or even a key card. If neither of those appeal, they can also give you a key that looks like a miniature version of the car.
These are just a few of the benefits to driving a Tesla. Tesla is an innovator in electric cars, and this allows them a greater freedom to come up with interesting and unique features.
