Are rear-end accidents always found at fault?
If someone causes me to hit another car, who is at fault? When I was on the highway last week, I was involved in a fender bender that involved seven other cars. The car behind me hit me, which caused me to rear-end the car in front of me.

“That is an unfortunate situation to be in!
Rear-end accidents are not always found 100% at fault, but they usually have some fault assigned to them.
In this case, extensive interviews with all of the drivers involved in the
accident
must be done by the adjuster to determine the correct percentage of fault. Since there are so many cars involved and it will involve a few different insurance carriers, it may take a while for everything to be sorted out.
You will want to wait for the final answer from your adjuster since they have the specifics of your claim, but we can let you know what to expect.
The car behind you will probably be found at fault for the damage done to the back of your car and the
bodily injury
you sustained. Since you are required to maintain full control of your vehicle at all times, if your vehicle was at a full stop and the car behind you caused you to hit the car in front of you, the driver behind you will probably be found at fault for the damage to the car in front of you and the bodily injury that they sustained as well.
This means you might be found not at fault for this accident.”
