The Lancer is a compact sedan. There’s enough rear space for a new driver to transport their friends, and the rear window is big enough to provide good visibility.
While a compact car could be a good choice for a new driver, you might want to look for something with better reliability and fuel economy. The Lancer is more expensive to maintain each year than many other cars, and it received mediocre safety ratings on crash tests.
